If you're out of school or off track to graduate on time, you may need new directions and educational pathways to earning your high school diploma. That’s where we can help. Directions to Diploma advocates with you, and for you, to earn a diploma that supports the future you want and deserve.
Our Services
Academic Navigators connect with you one-on-one to focus on attendance, credits, and making progress in school. Your Academic Navigator can also help you address other non-school-related issues that may be blocking your progress.
Career Navigators assist you in preparing for life after high school – applying for college or further training, exploring careers, or assisting with job applications, resumes, and interview prep. Career Navigators are available to graduates as well.
Elective credit classes and tutoring allow you to catch up on credits and get help in your other classes. Electives and tutoring are individualized and mostly virtual.
Your Diploma Matters
High school graduates with no further education earn an average of $10,000 more per year and over $250,000 in a lifetime than those without a diploma.
High school graduates:
Are more likely to be employed in a job they want and earn more money.
Are more likely to own a home, purchase a new vehicle, have better health, and be engaged in their community.
Have better access to postsecondary opportunities including better jobs, training programs, education, and the military.
Am I Eligible?
To be eligible for Directions to Diploma services, students must:
Live in Douglas or Sarpy counties
Be between ages 15-21 and able to earn a high school diploma by age 21
Have completed at least 9th grade
Voluntarily enroll – it is always YOUR choice to participate
Be out-of-school, disengaging from school, off track, or attending an alternative education program

All services offered by Directions to Diploma are free and we’re available to meet where it is most convenient for you. Parental consent is required for students under 18 years of age.

If you are struggling in school or have left school, but you are ready to get back on track, we can help. We specialize in working with students who have not taken a traditional pathway through high school. Directions to Diploma offers academic support and assistance in finding resources to help with other life issues that may be getting in your way.

We are not a school; students need to be enrolled in a district-approved school or program. Directions to Diploma is a support system partnering with school districts to help you earn your diploma. We offer three elective credit classes, if you need one or more of them, but your diploma is issued by your school district.

We will work with you to determine a pathway to graduation whether it be a traditional setting, an alternative route, or a combination of both. There is no quick path to a high school diploma, but there are different ways to get there.

Please call us at 402.502.8534 to discuss your situation. We will ask you your age and number of credits you have earned. With this information, we can then calculate if it’s possible to complete your diploma by age 21.

Our services are offered at no cost.

We can do your initial interview over the phone. Once you begin our program, your Navigator will be able to meet you at school or where it is most convenient for you. Most of our students do not need come into our office.
